Detox Hasselback Sweet Potatoes

Ingredients
  • 4 sweet potatoes (small-medium)
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • salt & pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Wash sweet potatoes and cut just a small portion off the bottom so it sits flat.
  3. Using a sharp knife cut thin slits in the potato ¼" from the bottom.
  4. Place on a baking sheet.
  5. In a small bowl, melt butter.
  6. Add in olive oil, minced garlic, fresh chopped basil, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt & pepper.
  7. Pour over potatoes, pushing herbs down in some slits.
  8. Bake for 40-50 minutes or until tender.
