Golden Milk Chai Latte

Serves: 4
- 2 cups water
- 1 tsp cardamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp whole cloves
- pinch of black pepper
- 2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp ginger (or 2 inch piece fresh)
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- ½ vanilla bean, split (2 tsp vanilla extract)
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 4 black tea bags (optional)
- coconut, cashew or almond milk for serving
- Bring water through honey to a boil in a small pot.
- Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Turn off heat and add tea bags (if using). Let steep for 10 minutes.
- Remove and pour (straining) into a glass air-tight container.
- To Use:
- Warm ½ cup concentrate and add to it 1-1½ cup steamed or warmed cashew milk (or milk alternative).
- Can froth with a whisk and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and additional turmeric.
- Enjoy!
