Ingredients
  • For the Biscuits:
  • 1 Biscuit recipe
  • 2 Tbsp coconut sugar
  • For the Apples:
  • 3 apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • pinch of ground ginger
  • 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • For the Topping:
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 Tbsp coconut sugar
  • ½ tsp cinamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Peel, core and thinly slice apples.
  3. Heat butter in a medium skillet over low-medium heat.
  4. Once melted add syrup, spices, stir and then add apples.
  5. Heat until just beginning to soften. Remove and let cool.
  6. Mix biscuits according to directions and add 2 Tbsp coconut sugar to recipe.
  7. Place dough between two pieces of parchment paper and roll until ½ inch thick rectangle.
  8. Place apples over half the dough and fold over the dough on top of the apples.
  9. Cut, with a sharp knife, into 10-12 small squares and place on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  10. Whisk eggs. Brush tops of biscuits with a thin coating of whisked eggs and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
  11. Bake for 15-18 minutes.
