Golden Milk Chai Latte

Ingredients
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp cardamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • ½ tsp whole cloves
  • pinch of black pepper
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp ginger (or 2 inch piece fresh)
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • ½ vanilla bean, split (2 tsp vanilla extract)
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 4 black tea bags (optional)
  • coconut, cashew or almond milk for serving
Instructions
  1. Bring water through honey to a boil in a small pot.
  2. Reduce heat and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Turn off heat and add tea bags (if using). Let steep for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove and pour (straining) into a glass air-tight container.
  5. To Use:
  6. Warm ½ cup concentrate and add to it 1-1½ cup steamed or warmed cashew milk (or milk alternative).
  7. Can froth with a whisk and top with a sprinkle of cinnamon and additional turmeric.
  8. Enjoy!
