For a while now, i’ve struggled with my purpose in life. But more than that, my calling.
It’s easy to get led astray or begin believing lies that seem to overtake the calling. The thoughts of I don’t know… or what if it fails… I can’t do this… I’m not good enough. You know the self defeating mentality that is so easy to get trapped into. Whether it’s in your career, your family life or better yet your health, at some point we’re all faced with the root and that lies in our purpose.
But it’s hard.
I mean, who wants to uncover a past that is less than glamorous. To dig deep into hard issues and really get to know yourself and know your “why”.
Yet, if we can go there we can slow our mind and embrace who we are and what we are meant to do. Think of the fulfillment and the sheer joy that comes with that.
If you’re like me then you’re probably still lying to yourself. Often saying self limiting beliefs, being overly critical of yourself and questioning most decisions you make, dooming yourself to fail. You’ve convinced yourself that it’s not going to work even before you begin.
What I’ve learned from our guest today, Mikaela, is that this stems from not truly knowing who I am. Not understanding what I’m good at, my purpose, my strengths and what I have to offer to the world and myself. When I actually took the time to slow down and embrace this as one of the most critical things I could do for myself and the health of my body it was eye opening.
Actually it was like I had just broken free from the pounds of chains that entangled me.
It was a renewing of my spirit, of this intense passion that was lying dormant in my life. When I understood my strengths, created a purpose for my life and believed in it, I then could believe in myself.
Don’t get me wrong, there are still hard days, hard hours and hard moments but it’s giving me clarity and it has really redefined my values. The best part is that through my values, I create action.
Today’s guest Mikaela is an expert at unleashing the inner you and helping us to deep down know who we are, what we’re good at and where our values lie.
