Here’s the scenario.
My day isn’t going quite as planned (but does it ever?) and so I resort to a quick week-night family favorite. Chicken taco bowls. Everyone always loves them, like always, except for tonight. Two out of three of our kids decide they don’t like chicken, or guacamole, two foods that normally get devoured.
Wait? What?
You like it yesterday but not today? How does that even happen?
We call this a lot of things, stubborn, picky eating or mis-behaving. Some of us go on to let it fester wondering how and when our kids are ever going to get the nourishment they need. Or if you’re like me you just get frustrated (or downright angry) that they again are choosing not to eat the meal you’ve worked so hard over just for them.
You feel alone, like something is wrong and your child is forever going to be picky.
Can you relate?
Have you been there?
Lost in wondering how your child’s palate can change from what seems like hour to hour, not to mention how much they consume. It’s frustrating and can cause some worry but what if we’re just over thinking it.
Today we’re fortunate to have one of my dearest friends on the show. My go-to for support, encouragement and ramblings all things health and mom to six. Yes, six under the age of seven. I’d say that a child’s eating patterns and habits are more than just a scientific talk but one of real and raw life and there’s no better person than a mom who’s birthed six different children, with different eating habits, patterns and palates.
