I’ve studied a lot about the human body. From biology all through high school and college along with the number of nutrition classes but what is fascinating to me is that at no point did I learn much at all about the mouth. Other than cavities, of course caused by excess sugar or so we’ve all been taught since the first Halloween we can remember.
I always just thought the dentist was a place to get your teeth cleaned and check for the occasional cavity, or in my case way too many to count. Yes, cavities you heard that right.
I generally classify myself as pretty healthy but when it came to my mouth, I was far from it. I had cavities, and lots of them, along with bleeding gums. But don’t worry I just pulled the excuse that pregnancy caused it all, I mean that’s what I was told.
All of this I had, even though I thought I was taking care of my teeth, brushing and flossing at least once a day. Okay maybe not flossing everyday. But then after learning and hearing remarkable stories coming from a simple change in standard oral hygiene and I knew I needed to find out for myself.
That is when I met Dr. Pospisil and my mind was blown.
I’m crazy excited to share this podcast with you as it has completely changed my view on health, eased the controversial topics and really just opened my eyes to the fact that Dentists aren’t as evil as I’ve always believed. Check out what your mouth really means to your health and don’t forget to grab your free guide to oil pulling <- seriously it will change your smile.
