Can I just say TGIF? Yes, glorious Friday is here, we can all sit back now and relax. Originally I was going to post my double decker pineapple upside down cake with tart cherry sauce. I know, it is incredible but that is going to have to wait because I have come up with something much more important for the coming weekend, sriracha goat cheese queso. It is my everything right now. And all you dairy-free people out there are about to go bonkers with this one. ->SQUEAL<-
So in honor of the big game or those who could care less about the game, but still want to partake in some game-day food–here is your ticket. Creamy, tangy goat cheese with chopped tomatoes, fresh salsa, chopped green chilis, and a drizzle (or more) of sriracha warmed into a marvelously thick, rich dip. Just like queso without all the unknown, artificial ingredients and nasty preservatives and with only five ingredients and five minutes. Can we say, winner?
I would also like to note that I feel this queso is highly versatile. Can we say face lift to your taco bowls? Or how about those taco stuffed sweet potatoes drizzled in goat cheese queso? ->DROOL<- Make it, you won’t regret it and then send your spouse a picture of said deliciousness later to tell him that you and the kids polished it off. If you do this, then you have to make it again, which means you get the rich reward of eating it twice. See how these things work?
Should we move onto the secrets? You guys I am super excited to fill you in on what is happening here at SRW so I am revealing some of the upcoming secrets that will help set you on the path of health. First up in February I am going to be challenging you to a 21-day salad challenge. But don’t stop reading, I know 21 days of salads sounds less than enticing but this is where it gets better. Twenty one days of salads as meals. Why? Because we all need to get a little bit better at eating those veg right? Me included! So I’m taking you all down with me. ->WHAHAHAHA<-
In February every recipe post will feature a salad, but these aren’t your traditional salads. Nope these are flavorful, hearty, satisfying, amazing, non-traditional salads that still emphasize the good ol’ greens. If you complete this challenge, post your pics on Instagram, facebook or e-mail them to me you will be entered for a chance to win my brand-new, life-changing, 28-day purification program at no cost!
Purification program, what? Yes, secret number two. I have been working tirelessly on creating a new purification program that will cleanse your body in a new way focusing on supporting your own body’s mechanisms of detoxification. In this program you are guaranteed to feel better, have a better outlook on life, be more energized and have more focus as well as shed some unwanted weight. More details to come but mark it on your calendars to begin this life-changing journey with me on April 1st (just in time for summer).
There is a lot coming up with other secrets, contest information and special offers in my weekly newsletters. It’s about to get real in here folks. Don’t miss out, sign up to not miss a thing. Details on the salad challenge and contest information comes out Monday morning so if you’re not on the list, click the button below to get added!
In the meantime go get a pot and start simmering a batch of this tangy, rich goat cheese queso and if you’re feeling frisky, bake a batch of plantain chips, which deserve a whole post on their own. For now take my word, they are the perfect combo adding the sweet to the tang to the spice. It is a touchdown of a combination (notice the pun), plus it is allowed on the purification program (WHAT?!?) I’m telling you, you have to check this out! No deprivation, true satisfaction to achieve true health. It will be a delicious way to clean your body, I can promise you that.
