Enneagram Type 4, you are considered the individualist. You are expressive and creative, but with it comes a strong drive for self-indulgence. This summer, what if we could shift your focus from what you’re not, to all that you are. Truly consider what this means for your health.
Enneagram type 4’s, you are very self-aware and sensitive, making it slightly more natural for you to recognize your health for what it is. The problem is, this awareness can often leave you feeling upset about what you’re lacking, opening thoughts of self-pity and self-indulgence.
So when it comes to health and creating nourishing rhythms, you are naturally aware and sensitive to your own emotions. You are emotionally intuitive and want to connect deeply, especially with those people who understand.
By no surprise, your emotions tend to be the driving force behind your energy levels. When you’re able to create from your feelings, you release and positively channel that energy. But too often, your emotions overwhelm you, forcing you to comfort yourself using food, distraction, and withdrawal to fill the void.

But this summer, what if you created space to feel all of your emotions while taking action creating positive energy?
This summer, your challenge is to combine feelings with moving your body. Which means taking solitude walks, or using any form of exercise to feel all of your emotions but doing it in a way that keeps energy flowing through your body.
Opening up space in a healthy way to feel and release all of the emotions you have been holding onto. Releasing the need to ‘do-things’ based on how you feel and, instead, start to understand what makes you feel good.
Open up space to move your body and experience the energy that comes with it – nourishing yourself from the inside out.
Remember, you can feel good – you just have to allow your inner self to match your external shell by coming home to recognize everything that is inside is exactly what the world needs.

Here are a few other healthy rhythms to incorporate this summer, opening up space for you to come home to yourself and live energized.
- Create a solid morning routine that is less about what you should be doing and more about what you want to do.
- Get in nature and take an adventure with someone you love.
- Create a life mantra or a vision board that is an expression of who you are.
- Start writing a book – even if it’s never published it can be an excellent way to see the power of the story you own.
You can feel your feelings, but your feelings do not define you. Choose instead to nourish your emotions by doing more of what makes you feel good. Take life one day at a time and allow yourself just to be.
