how to get healthy – type 1’s
You reside in the gut triad. This means you will often associate diet and exercise with weight loss, which is followed by guilt and shame.
I wonder, what could change for you if you pursued health with a different mindset. What if moving and getting healthy wasn’t about weight loss and fitness but about releasing tensions and emotions you are holding in your body? What if exercise was a means of finding stillness? Could you make exercise rest for you? Rest from fixing what you don’t think is good enough?
One’s it’s time to be gentle with yourself, listen to your needs, and engage in self-care activities that will sustain and heal you physically and mentally. To eat not to reach a goal but to sustain your body with nutrient-dense foods and other nutrients it needs to function well and thrive.
Make a conscious choice to make health less about perfection and more about balance. Working to create wholeness through being true to the real you – the one the world needs more of.

health struggles
Your greatest struggle is often not in doing something but doing it without needing to perfect it. Your inner critic is strong and is the leading cause of derailment to your goals. If you can’t do it perfectly, you don’t do it at all. But it’s time to take a stand against your inner-critic.
Remember – it is not up to you to fix everything.
Offer yourself grace upon grace – using your strengths but in healthy ways. And using one of your most significant aspects, self-awareness as your greatest strength. It’s easy to suppress your internal awareness overriding it with your evil inner critic. But trust yourself enough to trust your body – more than what the voice inside is telling you.
To live and start from a place of abundance rather than lack. You are enough just the way you are, and you don’t need fixing, you need to filling.
What would change if you focused on filling yourself and others around you? What if you let go of the “fix-it” mindset and started to reform in the way of nourishing? That is your focus, and that is your ticket to health.
practical steps
You are very routine-oriented – use it to your ability – creating nourishing rhythms that fill you up. Here are some practical steps or rhythms that fill you up. Remember, these are just ideas and not the end all be all – what would be on your list?
1. Get outside and soak up the sun
One’s love nature – the sun – and being active through the great outdoors. Can you go on a walk to clear your mind, hold a meeting outside for some mid-day sun, or even plan your exercise program outside. The fresh air can change your entire perspective.
2. Focus on meal planning and prep
You love a list so use it. Take one day to plan your meals and pick just a few things to prep. Don’t let yourself go overboard with needing to cook entire meals – but do bits and pieces – little things like prepping ingredients. This will not only save you time but give you peace of mind that the plan is on track.
3. Create morning routines – and evening routines
You are very routine-oriented. Use this to create nourishing life rhythms that fill you up. Whether it’s scheduling in your workout, time to rest, or even doing something that you enjoy. Given that you’re great with time – if you set it – you’ll surely get everything else done. Put some focus back on filling yourself using routines to bookend your day.
4. Add in stillness
It may be counterintuitive to your innate drive – to move – but adding moments of silence is one of the most filling things a one can do. The reform you see in the world, the problems that bombard you can load you down with stress. Remember, we can’t fix anyone else but ourselves. Make sure you take time to do nothing, to sit in stillness, and focus on the self-awareness. It needs to happen daily.
5. Incorporate journaling
Journaling could be one of the hardest tasks for a one – because it’s hard to work on yourself when the world needs help. But trust me, when you spend time filling yourself and working to know yourself – you’ll have more to give to everyone else. Use journaling to bring to life suppressed emotions – ones you think are gone, but they never really leave you. Take time to let this stuff go, getting rid of material, so your inner critic doesn’t have as much to use against you. It will be hard, but it’s so worth it. Even just for 5-10 minutes a day.
