Want to get healthier? Let your enneagram number be your guide. Inside I teach enneagram type six how to use their type for health. Getting outside of standard health benchmarks and learning how to live in health rather than for it!
Six’s, you are the loyalist. You are deeply-rooted in truths and have an amazing ability to perceive the world around you. Not only that, but you are great at troubleshooting and coming up with solutions. You can view and troubleshoot problems before other types would even recognize there is a problem.
But with this in-depth perception can come the recognition that the world isn’t always a lovely place. Your security, or lack thereof, is your greatest fear – often leading to “worst-case-scenario” thinking. These thoughts can trap you pushing you down the anxiety spiral and closing you off from using your real gifts.
Six’s, it’s time to be gentle with yourself. To challenge the “inner committee,” residing in your head working to confuse and stress you. Instead, put aside the committee and learn to listen to you. You are smart, you are capable, and you are worthy – you have to learn to trust yourself enough to believe it.
Inside this episode, we talk about how an enneagram six can live in health, all while honoring the support and security they crave.
We’ve also created a free download for teaching you how to make health who you are through your enneagram number. Download the guide, print it off, and see how much it resonates with your life.

how to get healthy – type 6’s
Two of the greatest strengths of an enneagram six is their awareness and their loyalty. If combined, in health, we can see six’s build a life of health based on their body’s needs and stick to it without attaching any emotional component. It just becomes something they do, in belief and desire.
It’s getting you out of your mind or anxiety spiral and back into the present moment. Now it’s probably unrealistic to ask a six to stop worrying and being anxious in general. But awareness on this level isn’t always bad. Often anxiety based on perception is a necessary part of human survival on earth.
It’s not the anxiety that’s causing the problems but the anxiety about the anxiety. And this allows your mind to spiral into the bottomless pit of being worked up about unknown events that feel threatening to your safety.
While you need comfort and calmness in your life through routines and rhythms – it’s also essential that you grow. The only way to grow is to push outside of your comfort zone. To try new things, unresearched, without fearing the worst-case scenario. Slowly, over time, stepping out and doing new things will help you to build trust with yourself.
Trust is the key to using your intuition for health and living life to the fullest.

health struggles
As a six, you have a strong desire to feel secure. You naturally have eyes to see threats and dangers. This is a strength, but this also brings anxiety along with it. Unfortunately, the diet industry can feel like a threat, making healthy eating a confusing subject for you.
Bright red flashing danger signs are reminding you that there may be a perfect plan, system, or diet that works, and if you’re not doing it, then you’re going to suffer. It’s enough to make anyone anxious and confused about the right decision.
Six’s, it’s time to stop looking at all of the warning signs. It’s time to let go of questioning and start to question, what would it be like for you to listen to the signs your own body is telling you? Your body is smart, and it thrives in keeping you safe and taking you places. Would you trust it? steps
Safety & support are the two most essential elements for an enneagram six. While we can provide both of those, through daily rhythms, it’s going to come down to balance. Balance of pushing yourself out while creating space to calm down. The give and take, some days are more giving than taking but most importantly, being aware of what is working and what isn’t. Here are some daily rhythms to consider adding to your life.
1. open up to get out of your mind
You are constantly aware and thinking – always mind chatter. While we don’t want to take that aware, it is crucial to learn ways to manage it. To let your mind rest. One way is to get your thoughts and your stress out of your mind. Whether this is to someone else or just on a sheet of paper, spend time daily releasing your thoughts. Try picking up a journal and writing for only five minutes a day.
2. plan, plan, plan
Decision fatigue is the most common problem amongst enneagram type six. To combat this, plan your life. As many things as you can, take time to think them out ahead of time, so when life happens, exhaustion hits or you’ve already faced one too many decisions in a day – then you at least don’t have to think about what already is. Try planning your top five to-do lists for each day, your meal plan, and what exercise you will do.
3. try something new
Six’s are the most routine-oriented out of all enneagram types. While this is a great thing – you can also quickly get stuck in a rut. This can, surprisingly, lead to more anxiety and worry. To get out of the rut and grow, commit to trying something new. It doesn’t have to be some massive change, but even trying a new recipe, a new book to read just for fun, or a change in your exercise program. Experiencing new things can help get you out of your head and also help you learn to trust your body.
4. End the stimulants
I know, I know, nobody wants to talk about not using caffeine to boost you. But given that you live mostly in your head and tend to get wound up or bound up easily in your thoughts, adding a stimulant can enhance your anxiety. Try switching to decaf coffee or tea, and see if it can help to calm your thoughts.
5. use calming techniques
Calming your mind is the best way to heal your mind. While there isn’t any one specific thing that can do – there are lots of different practices that will give your mind a break. It’s finding what works for you. Whether it’s a silent walk in nature, reading a good book, lighting a candle, and sipping hot tea under a blanket. Write out what calms you and add at least one activity into your daily life.
