Nine’s, you are the peacemakers and mediators. You crave harmony, comfort, and peace so much so that you take it upon yourself to hold onto emotions to make right what others see is wrong.
Loving and caring for other people runs so strong through you, you often forget that you have needs as well. You tend to expend a lot of energy caring for other people, all the while suppressing the energy you and your body need to take care of yourself.
Nine’s, you are often out of touch with your energy levels, making it feel like the energy you have is scarce. Unintentionally you live in an exhausted state. But I know deep down you crave health and energy to go out and live your purpose.
nine’s summer challenge
This summer, what if you opened up to the idea that energy is in abundance in your life?
Instead of looking at life as energy-depleting, you started to sort through your life to understand what fills you.
Take exercise, for example. You enjoy it when you have the energy to. But to often, exercise gets put on the back burner simply because you’re too tired to move. Instead of looking at exercise to be another energy-draining task, what if you could switch that perspective to understand how it can fill you up?
Learning how movement can provide your body with the energy it needs to thrive, not just survive. Which is what I’m challenging you to be your summer challenge.
Choose to fill yourself up by moving your body every day this summer.
It’s not to say that it has to be group classes or even the latest running plan. A simple walk in the morning sun could be exactly what will fill your energy bank. Even better, enlist a walking buddy.
Don’t let the struggle of feeling flawed cause you to override your beauty. Switch your focus from your limits to committing to doing the most loving thing for yourself and stay consistent in it.
Commit to just ten minutes of intentional movement a day – I bet you’ll do much more than that.
additional healthy rhythms
Here are a few other healthy summer rhythms fore enneagram nine’s that you could add to your schedule.
- Set up intentional coffee dates with friends
- Enlist a walking buddy to get some morning sun
- Start a book club
- Prioritize sleep, even when the days are longer, it doesn’t mean you need to stay up later
- Let your emotions out through therapy or journaling and refuse to let yourself eat them.
Make this the summer of being intentionally aware of how you’re feeling and incorporating more energy filling practices.
Change your focus to what energy you’re lacking and start to see energy in abundance. Most importantly, do more of what fills you up.
