The best self-care practices for enneagram type two is explained inside. It’s a subject I’m delighted to talk with an actual type two on what this looks like in life.
Self-care is a subject that I’ve thought long and hard about. Similar to the body positivity movement – it’s one that has a lot of good and bad. But if we go back to the original definition of the word – an in-depth knowledge of oneself then I think we can start to understand that self-care is not just another series of benchmarks and checkmarks, but it’s a filling from abundance.
Of knowing where you are, loving yourself for being there and yet willing to take the necessary action to fill that self up. Whether through nourishing foods, bubble baths or anything in between. Self-care is what you need and providing that when you need it – even if it is just a morning of extra sleep.
So maybe all of that to say, we don’t have to practice self-care but rather make self-care a part of who we are – living self-aware.
The Ennea-health series was born from this. A place of actual knowledge to take action, creating a healthier life that is who you are not what you do.
Today we continue digging into the Enneagram type two through an interview with a dear friend. Today I talk with Karlee about her health journey how she has learned to use her strengths to overcome her health hurdles. Learn all the details and what this could mean for you inside the podcast.
enneagram type two
Your heart is larger than most, bringing with it feelings that far exceed so many others. You do feel it all. And while two’s are the most relational type on the enneagram, some would argue they are also the most giving, loyal and loving.
But that comes with its own hurdles such as lack of boundaries and working for love.
But what happens if we let go of the thought that what we do determines how we’re loved? Because love doesn’t come from what or how much you do from someone else, but you are loved for just being you.
Inside the podcast, I talk with Karlee about her struggle with setting boundaries and living up to unmet expectations. We dive in deep with how she has learned to deal with the overwhelming emotions — learning not to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders.
