Stressed? Who isn’t? It’s the most common struggle of our day, and it is exactly why I think we could all benefit from the one-day stress fix. The intent is not to eliminate all stress but to help you manage and deal with it in a healthy way. One that provides your body the rest and rejuvenation it needs.
Remember, just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s normal.
And constant, chronic stress is not normal or healthy for our body. But given that 100% off us face stress on any given day, I’d say we are all due for a one-day stress fix.
Inside this podcast, I break down why stress is hurting our bodies, the reason we need cortisol and how to incorporate a one-day stress fix into your life. One day could change your entire week and maybe even month. Give it a whirl – what do you have to lose? Click here to get the One Day Stress Fix.
Make sure you listen to this week’s podcast to get all the details on cortisol and how to fix stress without getting rid of stress.

reset your circadian rhythm
You can’t fix stress without fixing your circadian rhythm – the rhythm that sets your sleep and wake cycles. It’s the same one that switches your body from the restorative phases of deep sleep to the action of the day.
New research is coming out about the power of our circadian clock nearly every single day – it’s fascinating – but maybe the most fascinating is that every cell in the body, every organ system has its owncircadian clock. That circadian clock is the domineering schedule of how your body works.
I’d argue it could be the most critical thing we focus on in health.
But don’t we all know it – if you don’t get enough sleep you can feel it: the cravings, the hunger, the exhaustion leading to a tailspin of bad decisions.
The good news, you can reset your circadian clock, and it just takes a few lifestyle changes. But take note – the most essential thing you can do for your circadian clock is rhythm and routine. Don’t give it – these aren’t overnight fixes but take time to establish.
Having trouble sleeping?
Sleeping pills are up there as the top prescribed medication in the world. To put it gently – we stink at sleep. Funny how the most important thing to our body becomes the hardest to achieve. The good news you can get it back. But first, you have to know the critical zone.
There is a critical point for sleep cycles and many agree that is between the hours of 12-2:00 am where your body does the bulk of the resetting. That sounds easy but the thing about this stage is that your body has to be in deep sleep by this point. Assuming it takes roughly 90 minutes to get there, it’s critical that you go to bed by or before 10:30 pm if possible.
If you’re a night owl, try going to bed just 10-15 minutes early and continually creep it up every couple of days until you hit 10:30 pm {or earlier}.
Think it isn’t possible? Here are some tips to help you.
- Turn off electronics an hour before bed – including TV
- Read a book before bed and challenge your brain.
- Take a hot bath to help your body start to rest.
- Turn off work at least 90 minutes before bed.
- Wear blue-light blocking glasses.
- Take sleep supporting supplements + adaptogens.
- Be consistent – go to bed and wake up at roughly the same time every single day – even on weekends.
my favorite sleep tools
As I mentioned above, blue-light blocking glasses and supplements are some of my favorite ways to make sure I’m reaching deep sleep. While I only pull out the melatonin for nights when I know I’m not going to get adequate sleep {the night before vacation – recovering from jet leg, etc} I do use the others on a regular basis.
But my first tool is my favorite and something I wear to prevent fatigue all day – blue light blocking glasses. Here are some of my favorites:
- These dark classy frames {or really anything from here}
- I have this pair at home and like them too.
- Basic, cheap and simple – you can’t go wrong with these.
And supplements and adaptogens:
one day stress fix
I know, I know, we can’t fix all of your problems in one day but what if we could ease the burden. Sure, a one-day stress fix isn’t going to get rid of the stress but what if it’s enough to catch your breath, to refocus and recenter on what’s important and maybe even learn a new rhythm that will help you beat the constant stream of stress.
That’s what you will find inside this FREE one-day stress fix. Not all of the answers, not the quick fix but a breath of fresh air – even for one day.
What we know about stress is it’s killing you – literally – it is, and I know you can feel it. It’s keeping you from unlocking your health goals and even your full potential. It holds you hostage and threatens to rip the joy right out of your life – if it hasn’t already, and I’m tired of it.
I’m tired of what stress is doing to me and what I watch it do to you, and I believe there is a better way.
The truth – we have to start standing up to chronic stress – to learn it’s not a little bit worth it and to get back to the foundation of life. I know I can’t solve all of that in one day – but little things can make a big difference. Make sure you check out my one-day stress fix and get a little breath of fresh air.
