Energy has been my focus for the last year. After years and years and years of nutrition work, studying, questioning, more questions, and more studying why we haven’t settled on anything that works for the majority of people in the health space – I was determined to uncover something that would.
That’s when I came face to face with the concept of energy.
I know the word energy can feel a little woo-woo, especially in the faith space. It seems bizarre to talk about energy as the driving force of health, happiness, and joy. But I promise you’re going to want to hear me out, especially today as I talk about the overarching determining factor of your health – that is your beliefs.
Inside today’s podcast, I share the one thing you need to change to get more energy instantly. You will learn how your beliefs determine your thoughts, which are the driving force behind your actions. How our beliefs dictate how much energy you have and what you can do to transform your health.
how to change your weight
What if shifting your weight didn’t come from micromanaging external stimulus? What if it wasn’t about what you ate, how much you moved, or what you physically did to change it?
I’m not going to argue those things matter, mostly as it relates to nourishing our body. But at a very simple level, what if health wasn’t about controlling what you do to it as much as it is what you think about it?
From my endless research, one thing that I’ve learned that has changed everything about what I believe in health is that it’s not what you do to your body but what your body does with it – this is what matters.
And what your body does with the exact same thing accounted for over numerous different people can be drastically different, perhaps why it’s impossible to come up with a primary health strategy that will help everyone see results and keep them long term.
So if it’s not about micromanaging outside influences, then it must be about what’s inside- which is the topic I dive into on this podcast.
your body is a by-product
“Our thoughts create our reality.”
Or so we thought – but what we now know is that no amount of hacking your thought process changes them without first recognizing your beliefs.
It is here that you’ll find that what you believe, which is created based on your DNA, stored memories and experiences, and what you’ve learned. All of which form the perception that is known as your thoughts.
Keep in mind the word perception because we’ll come back to that.
While it feels logical to measure, count, and weigh, the real answer to health isn’t in measuring what’s on the outside but taking inventory on what is going on in the inside.
It is our belief system that is the controlling aspect over everything that we accomplish {or don’t}. Which is potentially the missing link as we’ve come to learn that our thoughts create our reality, but what creates those thoughts?
That is your belief.
make transformation happen
This means the only way to make transformation happen is to change your belief system – making it less about your mind and more about your heart.
I know it sounds sappy, but what you believe is the driving force behind what you think. Are you believing things that are helpful or hurtful to your growth and your health? Maybe the best thing you can do is go back and challenge what it is you think – and start to uncover the truth behind your beliefs.
What if health was stalled simply because you didn’t believe in your core it was possible? What if you really believed it would always be a chase – wouldn’t this mean it would be exactly that, a chase, forever?
Just some food for thought as we diving into this energy series.
